A good place to start

The Untangling Day

One day with your team, mapping where the hours go

Your team has the process on paper and the way the work actually moves. The Untangling Day maps the second one.

We bring your people together for a day and follow the work from the first customer conversation to the thing that’s delivered: who does what, where it waits and where the hours disappear.

Then, together with you, we sort every step into three groups. Automate it, assist it, or keep it human.

It runs like a good film. In act one everyone’s sceptical, in act two the ideas start moving, and by act three your team leaves with a plan they made together.

01

Good for

  • Your team’s carrying more repetitive work every quarter.
  • You’ve been asked to find efficiency and want your team to own the answer.
  • You’ve been handed new tools and want a plan for using them well.
  • A project has lost direction, or a decision keeps circling.

02

By the end of the day

  • A map of how your team’s work really moves.
  • Every step sorted into automate, assist or keep human, by the people who do it.
  • The first project to build into, chosen together.
  • A specific sequence of next steps, with an owner for each.
  • Bring between 4 and 10 of your people. Fewer than 4 and it’s a chat, and more than 10 and it’s a conference.
